Practising tai chi heals the infirm, strengthens the weak, and encourages bone, muscle, ligament and tendon recovery. It also reduces the chance of injury, while aligning the body, quietening the mind and helping you become more aware of the spirit.
Tai chi can be used as a meditation; an art of movement; a method for better breathing; fitness exercise; a stress management program; a training in coordination and balance; to improve mental function; and as self discipline.
These sessions teach the loosening exercises of Master Huang as handed down to Patrick Kelly and the first section of the Yang Style Tai Chi short form.
