Spin your wheels across the Harbour Bridge and more at this year’s Spring Cycle. Each year, around 10,000 people join the Spring Cycle and make their way across the Sydney Harbour Bridge and beyond.
The 2017 Spring Cycle offers riders a distance of their choice with the 10km Sydney City Ride, 50km Classic Ride and 105km Challenge Ride. All rides provide the unique experience of riding across the Sydney Harbour Bridge main deck. For the first time in 2017, Bicycle NSW is very proud to announce a brand new ride to this year’s Spring Cycle: the 16km River Ride! This new route will start near Parramatta Park and follow the river all the way to Silverwater Bridge, cross over to Newington and proceed to the festival finish at Sydney Olympic Park.
The 10km City Ride is ideal for families and novice riders who want to experience the thrill of riding over the Sydney Harbour Bridge and past some of Sydney’s most iconic landmarks including the Sydney Opera House and historic Rocks area.
The 16km River Ride is ideal for families and novice riders who are keen to explore the amazing cycleway along the Parramatta River. The ride will finish at the big finish festival site in Cathy Freeman Park, Sydney Olympic Park.
The 50km Challenge Ride is for those looking for adventure. This route takes in the best of the 12km Sydney City Ride including riding over the Harbour Bridge, past the Opera House and historic Rocks area, before exploring the diverse Inner West and venturing out to Sydney Olympic Park.
The 105km Challenge Ride. Challenge your cycling performance by riding greater Sydney. Clock up 50km riding across the Sydney Harbour Bridge, past the Sydney Opera House and traversing the diverse Inner West before taking your machine out to Western Sydney Parklands via picturesque Parramatta and Prospect Dam and onto Sydney Olympic Park.
Celebrate your Spring Cycle success with a coffee, food or enjoy the Big Air School BMX show at the festival finish in Pirrama Park, Pyrmont
